Arrive in Arusha where one of our team will be waiting for you. You’ll be taken to your lodge for dinner and a good night’s sleep.
After breakfast you will head out to Lake Manyara National Park, where you will spend a few hours viewing the amazing bird life and looking for tree-climbing lions. Here you will also have the opportunity to stop at some local markets and get a walk in. You will then head west, to Ngorongoro Crater. You’ll spend the night in a lodge on the crater rim.
It will be an early start to the day. This is to allow you enough time to be able to enjoy a full day on the crater floor. You’ll have a picnic on the crater floor and will be amazed at the amount of wildlife here. In the afternoon you’ll head out west into the Ndutu area. Overnight here.
Today you will explore the eastern portion of the Serengeti and Ndutu region. This region is the short-grassed plains area and is home to the cheetah, a diurnal hunter. You will also be able to follow the migration here, especially in February through April.
Another full day in the eastern regions.
Today you will head into central Serengeti. For December –January safaris, the migration may also be in this area. There is a large number of resident wildlife here and the photo opps are endless. There is a wide range of lodging options in central Serengeti.
Today will be your final full day in the Serengeti. You can either explore new regions or return to ones you visited earlier. Every safari is unique and it all depends on the animal actions.
After breakfast you will head to the central Serengeti airstrip for your flight back to Arusha. In Arusha you’ll be met by one of our team and taken for a light lunch before heading to Kilimanjaro for your international flight home.
Bon voyage!
